Mesa Tactical LEO Gen II Hydraulic Recoil Starter Pack For Mossberg 500/590 and Maverick 88 (12-GA and 20-GA)
The concept is simple: the shotgun stock is replaced by an adapterthat mimics the stock attachment point of an AR-15 lower receiver. Thisadapter accepts an AR-15 receiver buffer tube. The AR-15 collapsiblestock and pistol grip can then be reliably attached to the shotgun.
There are two lines of Mesa Tactical telescoping stock adapters:
1. High-tube® telescoping stock adapters, that require the use of rail mounted optics;
2. LEO® telescoping stock adapters, which feature a stockelevation about an inch lower than the High-tube adapters and so don’trequire sighting or aiming aids.
The most important capability of these adapters is to facilitate theuse of collapsing or telescoping stocks, which provide a shorter lengthof pull (LoP) than the factory stock, which is especially important forlaw enforcement or “tactical” operators. In addition, these stockadapters accept a hydraulic buffer from KynShot™ that reduces feltrecoil. The Mesa Tactical/KynShot combination is by far the most robustand most effective of several recoil-reducing shotgun stock systems onthe market.
Hydraulic recoil starter kits include the stock adapter and hydraulicrecoil buffer, plus installation hardware (no stock or grip). All LEOadapters accept optional push-button sling swivels.
