Mesa Tactical High-Tube TelescopingRemington 870 Stock Adapter (12-GA, No Rail)
Our High-tube adapters have a comb height equivalent to an AR-15 andrequire a Picatinny optics rail (sold separately). Thesespecialized adapters are for certain law enforcement applications orcompetition. High tube adapters allow proper cheek weld and eyealignment with popular optics such as an ACOG or Leupold CQT andothers. High-tube adapters and complete stock kits include an optional 91/2" inch top Picatinny optics rail.
The heart of the Mesa Tactical Telescoping Stock Conversion Kit isthe stock adapter. This part is investment cast and machined A-356 T6aluminum and replaces the factory stock. The rear and lower faces of thestock
adapter resemble the back of an AR-15 lower receiver, so itcan accept most stocks and grips made for the AR-15. The High-tubeAdapters mimic the geometry of an AR-15 rifle, which means they canaccept any buttstock or grip made for the AR-15. This also means thestock elevation is too high to use receiver- or barrel-mounted sightingsystems. This is why High-tube adapter kits usually include aPicatinny scope rail, so that an optical sighting system can be mountedon the weapon.
The concept is simple: the shotgun stock is replaced by an adapterthat mimics the stock attachment point of an AR-15 lower receiver. Thisadapter accepts an AR-15 mil-spec receiver buffer tube. The AR-15collapsible stock and pistol grip can then be reliably attached to theshotgun. Equipped with the Mesa Tactical stock adapter, theshotguns have an adjustable length-of-pull to perfectly fit to theshooter’s stature or equipment, such as body armor; feature handlingcharacteristics similar to the ubiquitous AR-15; are more compact fortransport and storage; and are more controllable due to the pistol gripconfiguration.
No gunsmithing is required to install. Minor fitting of fasteners may be necessary.
High-tube® Telescoping Stock Adapters and Conversion Kits
These adapters are available in two types of kits, adapter kits orcomplete stock kits. Complete stock kits additionally include an M4carbine style telescoping buttstock assembly, an ERGO AR grip, and apush-button sling swivel. A Limbsaver® snap-on rubber butt pad for the M4 Carbine buttstock is available separately.
