Mesa Tactical’s SureShell Aluminum Carriers with Rail for theRem V3 shotgun combine a shell carrier with a MIL-STD-1913 (NATO STANAG4694) Picatinny rail that accepts optical, sights, lasers oraccessories. These shotshell carrier/rail systems mount by using thedrilled and tapped holes on top of the shotgun’s receiver.
SureShell Aluminum Shotshell Carriers with Rail are machinedfrom 6061-T6 aluminum and use Mesa Tactical’s innovative rubber frictionretention system to firmly and reliable hold shells in place untilneeded. Four/six-shell configurations and multiple rail lengthsavailable.
SureShell shotshell carriers are assemblies comprising analuminum yoke and backing plate and a Santoprene® elastomer tube. Theyoke features four to six vertical bores .700” or .810” in diameter toaccept 12-gauge shotgun shells. The shells are securely retained by theelastomer tube interfering with the bores. In many cases, shells can beconfidently retained in a brass down as well as a brass upconfiguration, though brass up is most secure. The shell carrier yoke isattached to a machined bracket with an integral Picatinny (MIL-STD1913) sight rail. The design allows the ShotShell assembly to beinstalled on the top of the shotgun by taking advantage of the factorytapped Picatinny (MIL-STD 1913) rail holes.
