This bullet was designed specifically for the .22 caliber Savage High Power rifle or any wildcat cartridge desgined to shoot a .228 diameter bullet. It is not to be used in any other 22 caliber rifle. Our Flat Base RaptorS™ are manufactured out of solid brass bar stock on a CNC Swiss style lathe. Instead of mushrooming, these hollow points are designed so that after 1-2" of penetration, 6 blades break off and radiate outward in a start pattern while the base continues on for even deeper penetration. The required twist rate for this bullet is 1:10" or faster. A minimum impact velocity of 1500fps is required for the hollow point to function as intended.
